Writing to Inspire You!

Friendly, Motivating and Inspirational

Brief Bio.

Sandy MatherBorn in Lincolnshire (UK), I moved to Surrey just in time to experience London in the 'Swinging Sixties' -I'm still recovering! One divorce, two children and two grandchildren later, I now live with my partner in a beautiful, rural village in South West Wales. In 1994 I began experiencing bouts of double vision and was later diagnosed with a rare condition - Myasthenia Gravis. This is a debilitating disease causing fluctuating muscle weaknesses. Career
Following a varied career I joined the National Health Service and became a Health Promotion Manager in 1992. Here I was able to indulge my first love - writing. I wrote many breaking news health reports, together with informative brochures on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I also developed a variety of training courses for health professionals and others involved in promoting health in the local community. Specialising in Positive Mental Health, I was recognised for my assistance with the Open University's 'Handling Stress' Community Education Course.
