Career
Following a varied career I joined the National Health Service and became a Health Promotion Manager in 1992. Here I was able to indulge my first love - writing. I wrote many breaking news health reports, together with informative brochures on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I also developed a variety of training courses for health professionals and others involved in promoting health in the local community. Specialising in Positive Mental Health, I was recognised for my assistance with the Open University's 'Handling Stress' Community Education Course.
